How much love is in your wallet?

The people passing by
Have bright smiles on their faces
Despite life being tough, we keep smiling
That’s just how life is for us all

After all, life
Doesn’t always go the way we want it to
It’s okay even if it isn’t perfect
That’s just how life is for us all

The people passing by
Have bright smiles on their faces
Even though life is tough, as long as we’re together
That’s all we need to be happy

– Park Yoo Chun “How much love is in your wallet”

They          call          you          a          player

They said

you will

turn out like the rest

leave once you have your fun

turn tail when there are roadblocks

They          call          me          a          fool

They said

I am

too clueness about men and their ways

too young to know what love is

too silly to believe in your promises

This           love           they           do           not           understand

Because

I do not

want a prince charming

desire to marry a millionaire

do not mind life’s difficulties

I          just          want          –

You

who

possess a heart of gold

have much love in your wallet

would stay next to me

You

who

give me a reason to believe

Inspired by Park Yoochun’s “How much love is in your wallet” and written in response for The Daily Post’s Daily Prompt and Day 95 of 100-Day Writing Challenge

Love your poem. How you arranged it is very interesting. I like how your speaker is sure of herself. That this guy is the one for her. I hope he doesn’t play her.
