The wake-up call

Sweet nothings they maybe but she believed him, trusted him. Days turned to months and still, they remained empty promises, never brought to fruition. He was still the same old John, having a one-tracked mind thinking only about parties and getting drunk. But Mary was different; she would like a family – a family he was unwilling to start with her. Brokenhearted, she gave him the best wake-up call ever. She left.
