Crumpled paper and tinsel

Christmas Sack

5 minutes to Boxing Day. She rushed in, half hoping her family would still be waiting for her. A silly thought, wasn’t it? Glancing around, the crumpled paper and tinsel meant only one thing – all the presents had been opened; they had gone to bed. If only her flight wasn’t delayed… Rubbing her weary eyes, she sighed and collapsed on the couch. “What’s the sigh for, little one?” A familiar voice made her sat right up. Glancing back, her family was standing in a row, each holding a present in their hands. “Surprise!” Maybe she made it just in time.

Hope everyone had a most lovely Christmas! ❤ ❤
