Chameleon (Haiku x 3)

A magnificently colorful chameleon sitting on a gnarly branch against a plain black background

“Camouflage is a game we all like to play, but our secrets are as surely revealed by what we want to seem to be as by what we conceal.”

– Russell Lynes

A chameleon
Stop making me guess and doubt
Give me a clear sign

I’m hoping, wishing
To hear those words, but you’re
A chameleon

Behind every smile
A story that may break hearts
Treat others with care
