Sympathy

define sympathy  /ˈsɪmpəθi/

feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune.


Easy it was to sentence the traitor to death.

Heartbreaking it was to sentence your beloved to death.

Everyone held their breath as she picked up the sword and did a few practice swings. She had put on a poised appearance, but the unsteady hands gave her sorrow away.

As the sword made the final swing, their tears fell alongside with their queen’s.

Their hearts twisting with pain for their queen.
